Page layout and template design for Wise Solutions
The following samples illustrate the page layouts for the PDF and help deliverables before and after the redesign.

Purpose: When I joined Wise Solutions, one of my first tasks was to redesign the page layout and FrameMaker template for the product documentation. My goals were as follows:
- Provide a more attractive and readable layout.
- Make the template easier to use.
- Learn FrameMaker.
My role: Template designer and developer for FrameMaker, WinHelp, and later, WebWorks outputs.
Tools used: Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, RoboHelp, WebWorks Publisher.
Publication date: The new template design was implemented in May 2000. My team and I continued to improve the page design and the template usability through 2007. These improvements included merging the Altiris template with the Wise template in 2005.
