"Performing System Administration Tasks with WiseScripts" for Altiris

Purpose: When Altiris acquired Wise Solutions, certain Wise products were included with the purchase of Altiris products. This knowledge base article targets the users of Altiris products who have access to a WiseScript product but are not sure what to do with it. It describes several scenarios for using WiseScript in a system administration environment. It also contains a series of tutorials that guide the reader through the creation of sample scripts.
Audience: System administrators who package, customize, and deploy applications for use within an organization.

Corporate style: This article follows the format, structure, and style guidelines that were developed by the Altiris technical publications team. The corporate style guide incorporates principles of the ABREVE writing methodology, which increases usability and facilitates localization. Some of the ABREVE principles are different from standard conventions, for example, using numerals for all numbers instead of just 10 and greater.
